About the Appliance

The appliance makes it very simple to use Koha.

Koha v 3.0 Appliance

You can try Koha directly from the CD, or install the software on to your machine.

The appliance is built using openSUSE 11.2 Linux and Koha 3.02.

System Requirements

You will need a machine with a CD drive, 1 GB of RAM and about 20 GB of Hard disk.

The appliance will work only on 32 bit machines.

The machine can have Windows operating system pre-installed

You can test your machine's compatibility by launching the appliance directly from the CD.



How to Order a CD

Use the button "Order Live CD Now" on the right to register.

You will also have to send Rs. 100 in some form - VPP, Demand Draft, Postal Order or Cheque.

Once we receive the payment we will courier the CD to your postal address.

In case of VPP we will first post the CD to you, you will have to pay the post person.

The payment (non VPP modes) should be payable to "Nucsoft Ltd", payable at Mumbai.

How to use the Appliance

Insert the CD into the CD drive and reboot the machine. In some systems you may need to configure the system to boot from the CD.

Once the appliance boots, you can launch the Firefox browser and use Koha. Any changes you make to the data will be lost if you shutdown the appliance.

To install the software on your machine use the “Live Installer” icon available on the Desktop.

The machine can have windows pre-installed on it. The "Live Installer" will create a separate partition for Linux and Koha.

How to download the CD

Click here to download Live CD.

Once you download the file you will need to use a CD writer to burn the iso file onto a CD.
